The Reelfoot State Park Visitor Center has a meeting room (Ellington Hall) with a holding capacity of 400 persons. The Visitor Center has accommodated an average of 121,826 visitors per year, over the past three years. Guests are able to enjoy a live wildlife display of indigenous snakes, Red-tail Hawks, fish and other fowl of the region. One can also view and learn about the American Bald Eagle. In addition, there is a museum depicting the local history and heritage at Reelfoot. |

The Parks Rangers at the visitor center give programs throughout the year to educate individuals, families, and tour groups about the wildlife in region and the importance of preserving these species from becoming endangered or extinct. From 1995-98, there was an average of 1,316 programs given annually at the park, with an average attendance of 111,099 per year. In 1997-98, Lake Reelfoot State Park had over 735,000 total visitors to it combined facilities. This was an overall increase in visitors of 125,000 from the previous year. The Reelfoot State Park is the primary means for visitors to explore the lake and its surrounding unique ecosystem.
